Lazy Day

We had a lazy weekend this weekend, and it was a very nice change of pace!  We had a lot of family time and also got to meet some new neighbors.  Stetson took the kids to the pool, we had a bonfire and smores, soccer games, frisbee and lots of outside time!  We also visited a park in Lakeland that a friend told me about and it was amazing!  We even ran into a bunch of princesses during our walk around Lake Mirror!  Someone was very excited about that!  :)   

Haidyn's Preschool Graduation

My baby graduated from preschool on Thursday!  We are so proud of the way Haidyn has grown into an independent and determined little girl who is ready for anything!  Haidyn is reading lots of 3 letter words and sight words, counting up to 50 and beyond, adding smaller sums, and much more.  She loves to sing and dance, play with her stuffed animals, create works of art, she is a master hoola-hooper and usually succeeds at everything she tries! We love our sometimes silly, sometimes serious, and frequently dramatic soon-to-be kindergartner!  :)  I posted two videos from her Preschool Graduation and also some pictures.

Fiesta Day!

Haidyn had a fiesta for her last Spanish class and she was VERY excited about it!  The girls put on their flowing faldas and the boys got mustaches and sombreros.  They danced,  took turns whacking a pinata,  and had little snack.  I don't think the smile left Haidyn's face for the entire party!

            

 

Kealon's Mother's Day Breakfast

Kealon's class had their Mother's Day breakfast this morning!  Each child escorted his/her mother into the classroom over to a seat where several gifts were waiting.  One gift was a journal with sweet thoughts from Kealon and a poem about me, another was a prayer card that Kealon wrote, and also a cute flower pen.  The children chose one page of their journal to read out loud, they sang a song, served us breakfast, and each child prayed for his/her mom.  It was a special time!

 

Pep Rally Cheer

The middle school varsity cheer leaders at the school put on a 2 day camp for the younger "Panthers" and then they all performed a few cheers during the school pep rally. Haidyn had so much fun!  I was afraid she would be too nervous to get on stage but she did a great job.  There are a few pix and a video below!

Mother's Day Tea and Field Day!

Haidyn's preschool class has been very busy lately.  This week they put on a Mother's Day Tea and it was very sweet. Haidyn and I had tea and dessert, I was showered with gifts, Haidyn sang a song to me, and I received lots of hugs and kisses all morning!  Preschool also had their Field Day and played lots of fun games in the gym and a few outside.  I think the best part was eating SNOW CONES!

Birthday Party and Blueberry Picking!

We have had such a fun weekend!  Kealon's friend had his birthday party on a little beach by the bay and the kids had a blast exploring.  They found little crabs, snails, horseshoe crabs, and even a puffer fish!  I think they could have stayed all afternoon.  :)  This morning we went blueberry picking with friends and the weather could not have been more perfect!  Now I have a ton of blueberries--I'd better look up some recipies!
