Field Day and Egg Dyeing and more!

Here are a few pics of Kealon's Field Day at school and a fun afternoon at home dyeing eggs with friends, plus some other random pix.
We have had a really fun Easter weekend with our friend Bob who is visiting from Philthy. (HA) He and Stetson even took the kids to a spring training Tigers vs Rays game on Friday....I got to stay home ALONE!  :)  We have been eating way too much and basically pretending we are on vacation, too.  Loving it!  Have I mentioned the weather has been amazing???  Be jealous, northerners!

Kealon is cracking me up with his smile in this one!

Field Day games!

Yay for swimming in March!

Easter Activities at School

Easter is a huge holiday for Christians as we celebrate the time when Christ bore our sins on the cross and died with them;  then a few days later He rose again!  Death's darkness was pushed aside with the stone that morning of Christ's resurrection, promising new life to all who come to Him.  Romans 6:4b, "...just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life."
I am so happy the kids can learn this at school, as well...and not just  hear about eggs and chocolate bunnies.   Although I do love some Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Eggs and Easter M&M's.  :)  Haidyn's class had an egg hunt and also learned the Resurrection story through "Resurrection Eggs"...just ask her about it and you will get a detailed Bible lesson!  Kealon's class had a Passover Seder and learned a ton about the meanings and promises behind Jewish tradition...which is also the foundation of our own faith.   Enjoy the pictures and have a very happy Easter Sunday!

2nd Graders dressed as children in Jesus' time for their chapel presentation.

The teacher washed all of the students' feet.

More of Haidyn's endless birthday

Here are a few more pix from Haidyn's week long birthday adventures!  She even lost another tooth (her 3rd one) at school on her birthday!

Went to a restaurant and they sang Happy Bday and gave her a sombrero and fried ice cream (which I very much enjoyed since nobody else liked it...SCORE!).

Spelling Bee!

Kealon went to the regional spelling bee again this year and did great!  He was the best speller in his class and came in 5th among the regional spellers for 2nd grade. We are very proud of him and the other students from his school who qualified!  And then we went to Wawa to get something for lunch.  So cool to have Wawas in FL now!

Below are a few pictures from this morning of Kealon and the other 3 second graders who qualified. They are the same foursome that went when they were in 1st grade! :)

Fun at the Farm!

Today we had a great time at Mimi and Pop's!  Pop wanted to go check out a farm nearby and the kids LOVED it!  There were animals to pet and feed, we went on a hayride, and they even milked a goat and then fed baby goats with a bottle!  The weather was beautiful and we all had a lot of fun.  Enjoy the pix!
