After almost 3 years of not updating, I’ve decided to start blogging again! In an effort to catch everyone up on the past couple of years, I’ve added picture posts with highlights from each year. I’m just going to add a little update on each of us in this post and that should bring everyone somewhat up-to-date!
HAIDYN: Haidyn has grown up so much! She has such a fun little personality and is constantly making us smile and laugh. She has a cute way of cuddling up to people and making them feel special...even family and friends that she is meeting for the first time! She is outgoing and knows exactly what she wants and how she wants things to go and she isn’t afraid to let everyone know. Along with her silly antics, she can also be stubborn and sensitive which has been especially challenging during year 3! I’m sure anyone with a 3-year-old can relate!!! Haidyn loves school and also enjoys riding her scooter and bike, dressing up, dancing, singing and getting her hair styled. She is all girl! Her favorite foods are peanut butter, milk, shrimp and Chick-fil-a chicken minis!
KEALON: Kealon has started 1st Grade this year!!! He is excelling in all subjects and looks forward to school each day (hopefully that lasts!). Kealon has a silly personality but is also very loving and cuddly. He always greets people with a big smile and a hug! His favorite things are playing outside with neighborhood friends on his bike and scooter. He is really starting to enjoy soccer this year and is very quick on the field! He has lost 7 teeth already...his first one in Philadelphia at Uncle Bob’s house. Kealon’s favorite foods are hamburgers, any type of pasta, shrimp, steak...he has been eating a TON and it’s making me nervous about when he becomes a teenager!
STETSON: Stetson has been working so hard over the past couple of years and it’s all paying off! He was recently promoted to Senior Finance Manager at his job (he works for PriceWaterhouseCoopers in Tampa). He has 3 more semesters until he finishes his MBA at the University of Tampa!!! Stetson has been playing soccer with a men’s league in our area and even completed his first ½ marathon last year! On top of all that, he serves as a Deacon at church, reaching out to about 15 families. He is an amazing father and husband!
ANNE: I just became a stay-at-home-mom and I’m loving every minute of it! In August 2009 I started working with our church as the Preschool Minister where I planned Bible lessons and managed about 50 children from babies to preschool age, as well as many volunteers and childcare workers. By May 2011 the Preschool Ministry had grown to about 200 children! I LOVED my job and had an amazing experience getting to know so many children, families as well as our pastors and church staff. But as the church grew and the job got busier, I decided to pass the torch and spend more time with my family! It’s been so nice to be able to get things done at home during the day, spend time with the kids after school in the afternoons, and then have time to relax (well sometimes!) with Stetson in the evenings.
I hope you have a chance to look at the 2009-2011 picture posts. :) We have been so blessed, and I am excited to see what God has in store for our family in the years to come!
