It was a gorgeous day on Friday and my friend Melissa had a surprisingly spontaneous idea to drive out to Common Ground park in Lakeland (almost an hour away) with our total of 6 kids! They had so much fun and played for 4 hours. I can't believe we stayed that long! It's such a fun park with tons to do. Enjoy the pictures! (And giving credit where it's due...most of these were taken by Melissa.)

Wild Wonderland at the Zoo!
Christmas Break is here and we kicked it off with some friends on Thursday evening with a trip to Wild Wonderland at the zoo! We saw Rudolph, Santa, and even some live reindeer. The kids went on a few different rides, including the ICE SLIDE which was a big hit...except with Haidyn. She went down once and then ran off to the bouncy houses. :) It was a fun night!

School Christmas Programs!
Kealon and Haidyn had their Christmas musical programs at school yesterday and they both did an amazing job singing with their classmates. We are so blessed and very thankful to be able to send them to a school where they can learn songs that praise God, where they pray together, and where they are taught that during Christmas we are celebrating Christ's birth. Enjoy the pix and a video of Haidyn's class singing! :)

Christmas up and down
I know everyone is busy, busy, busy between Thanksgiving and Christmas! We have tried to lay low and not get caught up in too much craziness with parties and events, etc. We have been able to have a couple low key evenings hanging out in the yard in our lawn chairs by the light of our Christmas decorations, as the kids run around with flash lights and glow bracelets...love those Florida winter nights! :) One of those nights we went to a Christmas tree lighting and even saw Santa drive through the neighborhood on a red truck! Fun times...we are going to miss this neighborhood!
We also ventured out to Stetson's work event where the kids had a blast trying out all of the carnival booths, face painting, bouncy houses, etc. After the sun set, his company celebrated the opening of their new office building with a "building lighting" that was really cool! Here at home, we are packing...and waiting! We got an appraisal on the house and it came back lower than what the seller was asking us to pay. We agreed on the new lower price (yay!), but now we are waiting to hear if their bank will approve that price. It's a short sale, so we knew there would probably be bumps in the road along the way! We are thankful that we are in no real rush to leave our current home, so waiting is not an issue. I'll keep you all posted on the progress! Hopefully we can be in the new house by mid January.
