Easter Activities at School

Easter is a huge holiday for Christians as we celebrate the time when Christ bore our sins on the cross and died with them;  then a few days later He rose again!  Death's darkness was pushed aside with the stone that morning of Christ's resurrection, promising new life to all who come to Him.  Romans 6:4b, "...just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life."
I am so happy the kids can learn this at school, as well...and not just  hear about eggs and chocolate bunnies.   Although I do love some Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Eggs and Easter M&M's.  :)  Haidyn's class had an egg hunt and also learned the Resurrection story through "Resurrection Eggs"...just ask her about it and you will get a detailed Bible lesson!  Kealon's class had a Passover Seder and learned a ton about the meanings and promises behind Jewish tradition...which is also the foundation of our own faith.   Enjoy the pictures and have a very happy Easter Sunday!

Went to a restaurant and they sang Happy Bday and gave her a sombrero and fried ice cream (which I very much enjoyed since nobody else liked it...SCORE!). 

Spelling Bee!

Kealon went to the regional spelling bee again this year and did great!  He was the best speller in his class and came in 5th among the regional spellers for 2nd grade. We are very proud of him and the other students from his school who qualified!  And then we went to Wawa to get something for lunch.  So cool to have Wawas in FL now!

Fun at the Farm!

Haidyn, the greatest at dancing!

Stetson got a balance beam from somebody at work and Haidyn was very excited about it. She posed for pictures and even made me take a video of her performing.  At the beginning of the video she says, "Haidyn, the greatest at dancing!"  She has such a personality!  I guess we should start looking into tumbling class!  Enjoy the pics and the video.  (If you are getting this on your phone and you can't see the video, just click the link at the end of the post to go directly to the blog.)

Haidyn's 5th Bday Party!

Haidyn had a few little girls and their siblings over for a Princess Party this afternoon!  Everyone seemed to have a great time and the weather was amazing, so we moved the party outside after lunch and cake.  It was a flurry of princess crowns, lip gloss and wands...Haidyn was in heaven! :)

Spring Break is Here!

Hopefully we will do some fun things over Spring Break, so I can post some pictures for everyone!  The weather is great and it might even be warm enough to swim a day or two this week.  I need some activities to keep the kids busy while they are home all day!  Yesterday (Friday) Kealon's class celebrated Kite Day with a picnic lunch and kite flying on the soccer field.  Siblings were also invited, so I pulled Haidyn out of class to join the fun and Enzo enjoyed watching the kids play, too.  There wasn't a ton of wind, but they got the kites in the air a few times and had a blast running around in the beautiful spring weather! 
Stetson is outside right now "enjoying" being a home owner...his first taste of yard work!  Ha!  I guess I should go help!
